Abstract
The primary aim of this study is to collect quantitative data that provides an accurate portrayal of internet shopping in India. This data will be used to elucidate its evolution and its impact on consumer behavior. The report leverages existing literature and employs surveys to investigate customer behavior. Additionally, it will closely monitor the growth of online shopping and conduct thorough cross-national comparisons of consumer behavior. This paper addresses research questions pertaining to current trends, challenges in online shopping, and key factors influencing consumer behavior. The study's results also highlight the significant influence of risk perception and trust on online shoppers' purchasing decisions. . 510 individuals of Pune were utilized for this stody. Key drivers for choosing the internet as a shopping platform include customer trust, privacy concerns, and security considerations. Consumers' confidence in websites plays a pivotal role in shaping their purchasing choices. Furthermore, the empirical findings demonstrate how e-commerce businesses tailor their marketing strategies based on the insights gained from the analysis. This study explores topics such as e-commerce, online shopping, the World Wide Web, consumer behavior, privacy and security, and customer trust.
