Optimal 2DOF-PID Load Frequency Controller for Two Area Power System Using Modified Grey Wolf Optimization Algorithm
Main Article Content
Abstract
This work examines the effectiveness of the two-degree-of-freedom PID (2DOF-PID) controller for load frequency control (LFC) in a multi-area power system. A reliable stabilizing controller is designed by the application of several modern control methods. Metaheuristic algorithms has been used to investigate the dynamic performance of LFC and the LFC problem in a power system with two power generating units. The proposed 2DOF-PID control system in this research suppresses oscillation. Recently developed metaheuristic methods are implemented to calculate the controller's optimal parameters. Simulated controller performance is produced utilizing the MATLAB/SIMULINK tool. Simulations demonstrate the Modified Grey Wolf Optimization (MGWO) method's resilience and dependability.
