GANE - Gesture Recognition Cane

Abstract

People who use a cane to get around often have difficulty using other devices, such as smartphones, at the same time. Our goal is to develop an innovative cane system that cloud services and gesture recognition technology to help elderly users leverage gesture recognition to interpret and translate user gestures into meaningful commands and actions in their smartphones and create a user-friendly and reliable cane system that can be seamlessly integrated into daily life.
