Abstract

This research is entitled Moral Principles and Decision Making: A Study of Governance, Risk and Compliance in Running a Business Entity. The title of this research is based on financial scandals that have repeatedly threatened the life and sustainability of Business Entities, such as the Top 10 Accounting Scandals and the State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) PT Asuransi Jiwasraya (Persero), which involved 13 business entities. This research aims to strengthen the understanding of business requirements to achieve business goals by obeying morality and law. The qualitative method used in this research explicitly interprets secondary data obtained from written sources to sharpen research results, clarify the research flow, produce useful research, take responsibility for research, and overcome weaknesses that could cause the crisis. This research concludes that achieving business goals is determined by fulfilling business requirements. The implementation of moral principles (governance, risk anticipation, and compliance) must be fulfilled to achieve the goal (life and sustainability of the Business Entity).
