A Comparative Study of Time Series Rainfall Prediction System in Thiruvallur District

Abstract

Rainfall prediction plays a vital role in human life,science and technology.Many researchers has been developed various techniques in rainfall prediction.In the present study aims to developed a new sarima model along to the comparison with other statistical approaches such as various type of regression model and simple exponential smoothing model.The rainfall data set of thiruvallur district preceding 11 years(2012-2022) used to predict the proposed method.The comparison has been evaluated by Root Mean Squared Error(RMSE) and Mean Absolute Percentage Error(MAPE).
