Digitalization Perspectives of the Azerbaijan Economy

Abstract

The article examines the development prospects of the digital economy, as well as domestic and international experience that provs the effectiveness of digitization. The development of the digital economy leads to the improvement of the business environment, the relative elimination of the shadow economy, etc. since it has a positive effect on such issues, factors such as the increase in labor productivity, the increase of the company's competitiveness, the reduction of production costs, and the elimination of poverty and social inequality are highlighted as its other advantages. In this regard, the article talks about the work done in the direction of digitalization of economic processes in Azerbaijan and the set goals. At the same time, a number of problems caused by the global characteristics of the digital economy are also considered.
