Abstract

Social movements one of landmark to protect tribal identity, Culture custom and tradition to all over India. There are large number of tribal's in India, specially in North East India. For the various reasons tribal's are get to be very poor to poorer. When they becomes politically conscious they demand for their fullfil. Therefore tribal movement of North East India specially Assam is ever increasing. The tribal are closely associated with nature forest, Cultivations, attachment to traditional customs and culture. The scheduled Tribes (ST) divided into - Frontier Tribes and non frontier tribes. Before and since Independence several tribes launched movement demanding 'autonomous' state or districts in which they could manage their own affairs. Similar demands for a separate political entity as a state or a district within or outside the Indian Union have been made by various tribes of eastern and central India and those of the North East Frontier. The Consequences of tribal movements are various cases they successful. For the movement the got their autonomy particular the respective habited. For example after long periods of tribal movement Bodo get their autonomy and they nationalized their language, established in frastructure education system, develop their agriculture sectors.
