Real Time Attendance System Using ESP32
Main Article Content
Abstract
The imperative need for attendance recording in today's environment to enhance the efficiency of industrial systems necessitates the development of a robust computerized system for face detection attendance using an ESP32 camera. Attendance is a critical aspect of organizational policies, and manual maintenance of attendance registers is both time-consuming and labor-intensive. Various technologies, such as RFID and biometrics, have been employed to address this issue. This analysis presents an innovative and efficient method for validating attendance and detecting presence. This project aims to address the problems like errors happening during attendance taken by pen paper mode or any other physical contact. The developed system describes an effective and inventive technique for validating attendance and detecting presence. The system involves attendance system by a direct face recognition using ESP 32 CAM module and ESP programmer. The ESP32-CAM is a compact development board based on the ESP32 system-on-chip (SoC) with built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capabilities. This method can greatly increase the capabilities of the organization to store the data of all the attendees without making any physical contact and allows to take the attendance with better accuracy than traditional methods and reduces the chances of proxy. This research paper provides a comprehensive overview of the design, implementation, and performance evaluation of the proposed attendance system. The results demonstrate the system's efficacy in automating the attendance tracking process, reducing administrative burden, and enhancing overall efficiency in educational and professional settings. As the demand for advanced and contactless attendance solutions continues to rise, our innovative approach utilizing the ESP32-CAM module and face recognition technology presents a promising solution for improving attendance management systems.
