Abstract

In the ever-evolving landscape of human resources, organizations are increasingly turning to electronic recruitment (e-recruitment) methods to attract and select qualified candidates. This study aims to explore the impact of e-recruitment on applicant intention and usage, shedding light on the intricate dynamics between modern technology and the hiring process. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews to gather comprehensive insights. The quantitative phase involves a survey administered to a diverse sample of job seekers, assessing their perceptions and attitudes towards e-recruitment tools and platforms. Concurrently, the qualitative phase involves in-depth interviews with both applicants and hiring professionals to delve deeper into the nuances of their experiences with e-recruitment.The findings reveal the multifaceted nature of e-recruitment's influence on applicant intention and usage. Positive factors such as ease of application, speed, and accessibility emerge as significant contributors to applicant satisfaction. Conversely, challenges related to privacy concerns, information security, and the potential for bias in automated systems are identified as potential barriers to effective e-recruitment.Furthermore, the study examines the role of organizational transparency and communication in shaping applicant perceptions of e-recruitment processes. It also investigates the impact of demographic variables, such as age, education, and professional experience, on the adoption and acceptance of e-recruitment platforms. The implications of this research extend to both practitioners and scholars in the fields of human resources and technology. Insights gained from this study can inform organizations in optimizing their e-recruitment strategies to enhance applicant experience and attract a diverse pool of talent. Additionally, this research contributes to the academic discourse on the intersection of technology and human resource management, providing a nuanced understanding of the factors influencing applicant intention and usage in the e-recruitment landscape.
