An Efficient and Novel Approach for Query Processing Over Encrypted Database in Big Data

Abstract

The study proposes an innovative approach to enhance query performance within encrypted  atabases, centered on generating unique hash values for individual sensitive data pieces using a hash map function. Notably, the suggested method maintains no correlation between the hashed value and the encrypted value. This process has the potential to heighten query performance while concurrently reducing the encryption and decryption costs. Results from a sequence of experiments showcase accelerated query performance across a spectrum of queries on encrypted data particularly, when the database comprises between 20,000 and 50,000 rows, a comparative analysis with different approaches coducted.
