Study of Photoelectrochemical behaviour of Semiconducting materials for development of Semiconductor devices

Abstract
Advancement in technology is always associated with development of applied sciences. Now a days study of semiconductors and semiconducting materials is most popular and trending topic among the researcher of all over the world. The photoelectrochemical characteristics of semiconducting materials are very essential for study of solar cell, p-n junction diode and photocatalysis. The properties of semiconducting materials are different than that of metallic materials. In this article we are going to discuss the electrochemical properties of semiconductors. In this article we have discussed periodic structure of semiconductors. Further we have explained energy bands, charge carriers and fermi levels of semiconductors. With gaining adequate information of behaviour of semiconductors one can develop an appropriate semiconducting device as application point of view.
