The importance of promoting skills such as emotional intelligence, empathy, self-regulation and decision making is highlighted, since these skills have been shown to be fundamental for the emotional well-being and academic and social success of students. Practical strategies, such as social-emotional education programs, experiential learning activities, and the inclusion of these competencies in the curriculum, are described in detail. In addition, the relevance of collaboration between parents, educators and the community in general is emphasized to promote a supportive environment that encourages the development of social-emotional competencies in students. Regarding the results, it was proven that the effective implementation of these strategies can have a positive impact on the comprehensive training of students and on the preparation of future emotionally intelligent and socially competent citizens. The best strategy to use to strengthen socio-emotional competencies in students is the use of didactic and motivational strategies, since they allow the teaching and learning processes to be guided, favoring collaborative work in those who lack these competencies.
