Main Article Content
Abstract
The study assessed the teaching competencies of Pre-Service Student Teacher Exchange (SEA) teachers in Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines. The results showed that the teaching competence of SEA teachers in Southeast Asia was generally high. The Philippines had the highest level of competence in four areas: content and teaching strategies, supportive learning environments, assessment and evaluation of students' learning, and personal and professional growth and development. They also had high competence in dealing with diverse students and understanding school-community relations. The study emphasizes the importance of assessing and improving teaching competencies in Southeast Asia's Pre-Service Student Teacher Exchange.
